A-12a Diluter Demand...
Description:3" diameter oxygen regulator as used in WW2 aircraft
like the P-51 fighter. These have 1950s dates but are same type as WW2. Pilot would connect his oxygen mask hose to the large, 1 inch diameter connector. He flew with the regulator in the normal oxygen mode(see picture). When he needed 100% oxygen, for combat, he would either flick the lever to 100% oxygen or open the red valve ( see picture). After combat, he would go back to diluted or regular oxygen flow to conserve his oxygen. I used to sell these for $250.00 ea., in overhauled condition. These are in AS Removed condition, NOT FOR FLIGHT. Makes a great mantle or shelf piece for the pilot or ww2 enthusiast or aircraft instrument collector. Item Info:
